Again, this is a recipe from Scotland, and one of my favourites. Its easy to make, and tastes great.
Ingredients
- Half a kilo of potatoes
- 100 grams of self raising flour
- 50 grams of butter
- Pinch of salt
Method
Heat a lightly greased griddle or skillet over a medium high heat
Mash potatoes with flour, butter and salt until a dough forms
Knead dough lightly and roll out to about 1 and a half centimetres thick. Cut into triangular wedges
Cook scones on hot griddle until golden brown, for about 4 minutes per side
